Bear Brum 2026

Once a year, Birmingham's bears take over the Gay Village for a long weekend that runs on beer, bingo and questionable dancing. Bear Brum is Birmingham's own bear weekend, and it's as warm and daft as that sounds.

Friday opens gently: a welcome night at The Fountain Inn, cabaret up at The Fox, then the late club nights for anyone still standing. Saturday is the big one. A daytime bears' market, games, karaoke upstairs and a party that runs well past midnight. Sunday is for recovery: a proper bears' breakfast, an afternoon of bingo, and a bit of comedy to see the weekend out.

You don't need to be a bear, know a soul, or have a plan. Turn up, find the nearest pint, and Hurst Street does the rest.
