I have stayed at the Fountain twice now and am heading back today for my third visit. It's my go to place to stay in Birmingham and I love it. The staff and management are lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms are great, a good price, and very comfortable with superb bathrooms. The bar, garden, and extra facilities are great.

My husband and I have been staying here for about 5 years. We absolutely love the place. The staff are amazing and so lovely, the rooms are so clean (I’m a controlling clean freak btw), the music is always fabulous and the other customers are so lovely. Anything goes and everything is wonderful. I cannot highly recommend to stay or have a drink.

Nice traditional style gay pub, mostly older customers.

A great little pub and hotel on the edge of the city centre. You can see how much the owners care for their customers. It’s a room above an old pub so there is noise and you could probably find faults if you wanted to, but for the easy going budget traveller this place is great. Wet room bathroom was a lovely bit of luxury. Bedding was excellent quality, I slept very well both nights. The owners were friendly and helpful, recommended a good local barber etc.

Keep away from this bar an extemly rude barman who enjoys being rude and seems to think it is very clever to do so I have used the bar for many years but unfortantly have had enough of this barman some times he speaks some times he does not Went in there this weekend and was completely ignored had a drink and left as it was very quite ( everywhere else was very busy) Went back later and asked for a large gin and tonic when it was bought to me by this barman I asked for more ice and was told that I could not have any more as there was other customers that needed it God now’s how they would get on if they were busy I refused the drink and left STAY AWAY not a good bar could be if the barman Chris left terrible attitude
